Kelley Polar – "Satellites"
Monday, February 4, 2008 at 02:39PM
Mr. Polar's debut full length, Love Songs of the Hanging Gardens, was one of our favorites in 2006. His sophomore release, I Need You to Hold on While the Sky Is Falling, will hit shelves early next month. We understand that the main difference this time around is that Polar has produced the new album himself. (Love Songs was produced by Environ label owner Morgan Geist, who is one half of Metro Area.)
Geist is a true master house producer, and he worked wonders on Love Songs. So we're a bit sad to know that—at least according to the new album's credits—he is uninvolved in I Need You. However, Polar seems to be doing a fine job at carrying his own torch. I Need You feels more like an electronic pop record and less like the symphonic disco revivalism we heard on Love Songs, but it's definitely cut from the same cloth.
"Satellites" is track from the new record:

I Need You to Hold on While the Sky Is Falling is slated to drop on March 3.
