The idea of Neon Neon, a Boom Bip / Gruff Rhys collabo, doesn't seem like it would be much of a new wave match made in heaven. But Gruff's authentic baritone croon paired with Boom Bip's surprisingly glossy production results in one of the most convincing new wave revivals we've heard in a very long time.

But let's forget about all that for a moment because the hipster booty-pop of "Trick for Treat" doesn't have much to do with Neon Neon's overall aesthetic:
