Here's a Diplo-produced quickie from NOLA-based DJ Kazu. If there's anyone out there qualified to introduce the world to Japanese bounce music, I can hardly think of a better culprit than Diplo.

He apparently spent the holidays in NOLA. I was REALLY close to going myself but decided against it at the last minute. Such a shame. I could've hung out with Diplo and Lil' Boosie in the Sears parking lot.

We're only seven days into the new year, and I've already heard a handful of '09 NOLA bounce joints. I feel pretty good about that. Maybe bounce will finally see a proper revival this year. Maybe I'll even make a shoddy bounce track or two in Reason or something.
