Up-and-coming UK songwriter Ellie Goulding has a very marketable post-teen-talent-show, post-TRL kind of voice. If you can get past the gloss of it all, you'll find plenty of hearty talent swirling around her ethereal bubblegum folk-pop songs.
While the original "Starry Eyed" wouldn't sound too out of place on US Top 40 radio, the Jakwob remix casts the track into super accessible dubstep territories. This kind of crossover simply wouldn't have happened two years ago, and it's a testament to how rapidly the genre is growing and becoming a household fixture. These producers seem more and more willing to meet artists halfway. Anyone who said dubstep is never sexy may wanna reconsider for this one:
