Ghostface Killah [ft. Raheem DeVaughn] - "Baby" Video

The one time I played this jawn in "the club," some girls approached me and told me they were "vetoing" the track and expected me to stop playing it right then and there. (In my mind, if a DJ ever stops a record on a dime because someone gives him/her a direct order to do so, he/she is a chump, but that's a whole different story—I swear I'm not bitter!)

I don't know what those girls were huffin'. I don't see how anyone could recognize this song as anything less than the jam. Apparently Ghost claims that he has had this beat in his inventory since before he started working on 2006's Fishscale, which would make this beat something like four years old. That's a long time to sleep on a track, but I'd say he's gotten away with it. The video isn't super duper or anything, but I'm glad it got the semi-high budget it deserved.

The internet isn't telling me who produced "Baby" or who directed the video. (Because—you know—who cares about that stuff?) If you have any leads, please let me know.

Pre-order Ghost's "R&B album," The Wizard of Poetry.
