Just a quick heads up that OKC is taking over Fix in a matter of hours, and it's officially an AiMT-sanctioned affair. RSVP here.
The curiously plural one-man entity Beatpunks will be headlining. Alongside him will be Mikey Patron and Fix resident EQ's new project Diamond Life, a tag team affair with OKC's Daniel Rockwell, debuting their live set.
See y'all there. Beatpunks and Diamond Life goodies after the jump.

The good people at Fix Ultra Lounge welcome another world-class DJ this week for their Wednesday weekly—this time it's Fishr Pryce hailing from Dallas, Texas. If you take a minute to skim Fishr's blog, you'll find that he's a highly eclectic party rocker with a slight lean toward rap and funk, and his monthly mixes make it known that he's clearly equipped to play to just about any crowd.
In other words, we're in good hands tomorrow night. RSVP here, and now I'll shut up and let the music do the talking. Check this slapstick American-pride-themed mix:

Fix is goin' hard again this week. Headlining will be Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, Fool's Gold co-founder, and all-around doer of big things Nick Catchdubs. He's arguably the biggest name to play Fix this summer, and that's saying a lot. Click to RSVP.
Alongside A-Trak (Kanye's tour DJ and 1997 DMC champion), Catchdubs founded Fool's Gold, the label that launched the careers of Kid Cudi and Kid Sister, in 2007. He's also done mixtapes for Wale, Mark Ronson and Mishka. Get tunage:

As far as the Fix gig goes, you know the deal. $1 wine for ladies and $5 domestic buckets. Support by resident DJs EQ and Shortfuze. Luckily, Fix is now 18-and-up on Wednesdays, so all you freshmen and high school seniors can come out and jerk and D-town boogie like us grown folks.
EQ and Shorfuze have an epic late spring planned for their Fix Wednesday weekly. We had 12th Planet a few weeks back. Next is Austin vet DJ Mel tomorrow, and Fool's Gold co-founder Nick Catchdubs in June. (Little Rock and Tulsa haven't had it this good in a minute.)
All big talent, but let's focus on this week's prize: DJ Mel. He hosts the Swoll monthly as well as a 13-years-deep Monday night weekly at Nasty's in Austin. His style is wildly eclectic, so no telling what he'll throw down tomorrow. Click to RSVP.

This will be Northwest Arkansas' undisputed biggest dubstep party yet, and lucky for us, we've got 12th Planet, who is arguably the biggest name in stateside dubstep, headlining the ticket.
This L.A.-based DJ/producer co-founded the SMOG label in 2006 and has been doing big things for the genre ever since. SMOG is largely responsible for West Coast dubstep's aggressive sound and put L.A. on the map as the genre's domestic capital. Lately 12th Planet has caught major buzz for his collaborations with veteran West Coast rapper Ras Kass.
This is the official Art Amiss 12 afterparty. It's tomorrow night (Wednesday) at Fix. Epiphany and Bizar will be opening along with Fix residents EQ and Shortfuze. Click to RSVP. If you miss this show, you are fully hopeless. That's the only explanation.
Holler at five 12th Planet choonz after the jump.
AiMT-approved DJ/producers rarely get booked in our middle-of-nowhere college town of 50,000 residents. It's just not something that happens every week. Or month. Or sometimes—God forbid—even year. But tonight I'm proud to report that it will happen. World class Fool's Gold-signed DJ Treasure Fingers will spin at Club Fix thanks to EQ, Shortfuze and Bizar, all of whom are also on the bill. This show is part of Shortfuze and EQ's Wednesday weekly at Fix.
If you're not up on TF, check out some of his mixes (here, here). You can also hear him live on KXUA tonight at 8:00 on Wheels of Steel. And if you haven't heard his single, "Cross the Dancefloor," then for the love of all things holy, go stream it now.
And if you're still not convinced, here's the press release for the show (written by yours truly):
Local DJs EQ and Shortfuze are proud to welcome DJ/producer Treasure Fingers to their Wednesday weekly on May 20 at Fayetteville's new nightclub venue FIX. The Atlanta native is signed to Fool's Gold, a label founded by A-Trak, who is best known as Kanye West's DJ. Fool's Gold is also home to new school MTV favorites Kid Cudi and Kid Sister.
Treasure Fingers' vocoder-encrusted single, "Cross the Dancefloor," is a midway point between '70s/'80s Italo-disco and new scenester dance-pop—a quintessential party burner. It's been remixed by countless talent and gotten spins from A-list DJs like Eric Morillo, Annie Mac, Sinden, and Kissy Sell Out. You can download a Treasure Fingers' DJ set, along with a couple of his remixes, over at Discodust: http://discodust.blogspot.com/
This 21+ party has a $5 cover. Doors open at 9 p.m. $7 domestic buckets, and $1 wine for the ladies. FIX is located inside Willy D's Piano Bar on Dickson. Treasure Fingers will share the bill with Shortfuze, EQ, and Bizar. Treasure Fingers will be interviewed and perform live on 88.3 FM's Wheels of Steel at 8 p.m. that same evening (May 20).
